How to add and use “Plex it!” bookmark applet

Plex It! is a bookmark applet that allows you to almost instantly add videos, from certain websites, to your “watch later” tab inside of your Plex account for later playback on your Plex application. Plex It! has 3 functions: “Queue” – adds video to your Plex account, “Share” – allows you to share a video with your “Plex friends” and “Play instantly” which allows you to play video instantly.

In this “How to” article we will show you how to acquire and use your Plex It! applet.

1) Log in to your Plex account, and go to “Watch later” tab.

2) Locate the question mark icon (?) on top of your “Watch later” page, and just click on it.

3) A new page will open and you will see instructions on how to add “Plex It!” applet to your browser. All you need to do is to click on big orange “Plex It!” button and drag it to your browser’s bookmark label and drop it there. That will add the applet to your browser and you will be able to use it.

4) Now go to the website that you want to import video from, click on selected video, and when it starts click on newly added “Plex It!” bookmark. After that from the left side of the screen, a new banner will appear that will inform you about your selected video being added to your Plex account.

5) On the banner you will see two more tabs that you can access, the first one is to share the video with your “Plex friends” and the second one is to play the video instantly using Plex.

6) Go back to your Plex account, and enter “Watch later” tab and you will see the video that you selected there. So you now can reproduce it directly from Plex just by clicking on it.

7) There is one more way to add your videos directly to your Plex account and that is done via email. Go back to a page from step 3 and scroll down to a bottom of the page. There you will see generated email address. That is the email address of your Plex account. If you compose an email using that address like recipient and as message add URL-s of the videos that you wish to watch later they will be automatically added to your “Watch later” tab after that email is sent.
