There are two ways how to log in to your account using FTP (File Transfer Protocol) client called Filezilla.
First, is by directly filling in the “host”, “username”, “password” and “port”. Hitting the “Quickconnect” button will let you access your account.
Step 1: For the host, fill in with your seedbox IP given at your Welcome Email received;
Step 2: Enter “user” for the username. If you are accessing your seedbox as a root, use “root” as the username;
Step 3. Enter the password given. It is usually it’s a 6 digit alpha-numeric combination;
Step 4: For FTP, use 21 for the port. If you’re accessing it as a root, use 22 for the port;
Step 5: Hit “Quickconnect” to connect to your account thru Filezilla.
The Second way is to log in after saving the credentials. The saved credentials will let you enter automatically the next time you access your account using FileZilla FTP client.
Step 1: Hit “Site Manager” from “File” tab of the Filezilla application;
Step 2: Hit “New Site” in order to open a new ftp account to save on the Site Manager;
Step 3: Enter the IP address of your seedbox
Step 4: Choose ‘FTP- File Transfer Protocol” as your protocol;
Step 5: Enter 22 as the port
Step 6: Fill in with “root” as your username;
Step 7: Fill in with your 8 to 10 digit alpha-numeric combination;
Step 8: Hit “Connect” to connect and saving your new seedbox account to the Site Manager.
Through your FTP access, you can download or upload faster your files directly from/to your seedbox to/from your desktop computer.
